Graduate School Spring Convocation Ceremony

The Graduate School hosts its convocation ceremony each May to celebrate master’s and doctoral candidates graduating in the Summer 2024, Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 terms. The ceremony will feature formal remarks from Dean Sarah Ades. Following the speeches, graduates will have the opportunity to walk across the stage as their names are announced, with professional photographers capturing these memorable moments. For doctoral candidates, the ceremony will also include a special hooding segment. In consideration of all graduates, we kindly ask that attendees remain for the entire duration of the ceremony.

University-Wide Commencement Ceremony

The University-Wide Ceremony will be held May 10, 2025, at Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium. Separate procession tickets are required for degree candidates to participate and for guests attending the university-wide ceremony. More information about tickets may be found on their website.

The University-Wide Commencement Ceremony takes place following the college ceremonies and is the culmination of commencement weekend. The ceremony includes a distinguished speaker, conferring of degrees by the president and the traditional lighting of the Tower in orange to honor graduates. The celebration concludes with a fireworks display.
