The Faculty Research Assignment (FRA) program has been replaced with the new Faculty Development Leave (FDL) to support tenured faculty with paid leave from teaching and service responsibilities to dedicate their time to research, scholarship, and creative endeavors. A new Faculty Development Awards (FDA) program has been created to support mid-career and senior professional-track faculty meeting eligibility criteria to recognize excellence and to provide up to $10,000 to support professional development. The Academic Enrichment Fund will not be awarded for the 2023-24 academic year.
The fund supports workshops, graduate courses, seminars, exhibitions and academic conferences that enhance the graduate educational experience at UT Austin.
