Editorial Assistantships

Editorial assistantships provide partial support to graduate students doing substantial editorial work to assist a faculty member serving as editor of a journal.

The award can vary from a “tuition award” to a part-time graduate research assistant appointment depending on need, number of applications received and available funding.

Funding for these positions is part of the allocation of funds to colleges and schools for decentralized award decisions. Faculty should check with their college or school dean to determine the availability of funding.

Colleges and schools that wish to host an editorial assistantship award competition may allow faculty to apply via the Graduate School Online Awards System.
