Each spring, the Graduate Teaching Showcase (GTS) features a small group of graduate students who compete for an opportunity to give a short TED talk-type presentation on a teaching topic close to their hearts. Selected presenters receive a $200 prize and a certificate.
One of our favorite events of the year (and not just because of the breakfast tacos!), the six talks are organized into two clusters thematically. Between each cluster of three or four talks, audience members have an opportunity to discuss with their tablemates what they have just seen and the thought-provoking questions each presenter ended their presentation with.
