Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week recognizes the contributions, impact and value of our graduate and professional students. The Graduate School has partnered with the Graduate Student Assembly to host a week's worth of events celebrating graduate students the week of April 6, 2026.
We encourage you to join these events for giveaways, food, networking and opportunities to meet fellow graduate students.

Lunch with the Graduate School

Join us for a casual come-and-go lunch to kick off the celebration of Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Week. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow graduate students.
Free Coffee at Lucky Lab Coffee Co.*
April 7, 2026, 7:30 a.m. until tab runs out | Gates-Dell Complex Location, 2317 Speedway, Austin, TX 78712
Come grab coffee to start your day. The Graduate Student Assembly will have an open tab at Lucky Lab Coffee Co. on Tuesday morning. Valid for one 16 oz drink until tab runs out.
Plant Giveaway*
April 9, 2026, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. | ETC Lawn
The Graduate Student Assembly will be giving away plants (aloe, bamboo and succulents) to graduate and professional students.
Lunch at Four Brothers Venezuelan Kitchen Food Truck*
April 10, 2026, Noon-2 p.m. | Perry Castañeda Library
The Graduate Student Assembly will be offering graduate students a free arepa and yucca fries at the food truck outside of Perry Castañeda Library. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available while supplies last.
*For events with the Graduate Student Assembly, they are asking students to please bring a physical copy of their UT ID OR bring another form of ID along with certification of graduate school attendance at UT (a screenshot of an unofficial transcript that says last semester attended Spring 2026 is acceptable).
