UT Statement on Anti-Asian Violence

On Nov. 13, 2020, the Graduate School held the finals of its Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition virtually, with neuroscience Ph.D. student Cherish Taylor winning first prize for her presentation “SLC30A10 Protein: The Key to Discovering Treatments for Manganese-Induced Parkinsonism.”

Evening Transportation Options for Grad Students

Enrollment of Diverse Graduate Students Grows at UT Austin

AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas at Austin enrolled a greater number of Asian American, Black and Hispanic students to graduate programs during the 2020-21 spring and fall semesters. Additionally, the university received a greater number of applications and admitted a greater number of these students.

Overall graduate enrollment declined this year by 5.1 percent, led by a smaller number of international students enrolling due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Three Grad Students Win Fulbright-Hays Fellowships

AUSTIN, Texas – Three UT Austin graduate students have been selected to receive fellowships through the Fulbright-Hayes Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad Program for the 2020-21 academic year. Additionally, one UT student has been selected as an alternate for possible funding.
