Virtual Commencement Ceremony

On May 23, the Graduate School will hold a virtual ceremony. Students who graduated in fall and summer 2019 and applied to graduate for spring 2020 will receive an email with a link to the online registration form. The Graduate School will also create a digital convocation program for download. This will be available in late May.

Each graduate will have the opportunity to be recognized with an official slide that can be customized with your photo and a recording of your name read aloud. You will be able to download and share your slide with family and on social media.

The deadline to register and have your name recorded is April 30. Graduates added after this date will not have a recording. The final deadline is May 10.

The Ceremony

The ceremony, which will take place virtually, will consist of brief remarks from Graduate School Dean Mark J.T. Smith.  Then students will have the opportunity to find their individual slide and hear their name read. Students will have the opportunity to upload a picture for their slide and record their name so that it is pronounced accurately. You will receive a link via email and that link will become live on May 23, 2020 at 1 p.m.
